Amazing Races
Amazing races are simply creative races
where small teams or individuals compete. Using cones, flags,
and any other props you may need, you can design a course that puts
the players through a variety of sections that mimics movements used
in soccer. Include sections in the course with the any or all
of the following: short sprints, shuffling sideways, running
backwards, changing directions (similar to a slalom), push ups,
shooting, real or simulated headers, dribbling a ball, or any other
soccer related activity.
The amazing races I create for endurance are
usually between 30-40 seconds in length, resting 3-4 times the race
length. Amazing races geared to improve speed and agility are
between 5-20 seconds in length, resting 6-8 times the race length.
